JaNelle and her husband, Justin, have been married since 2004. Over four deployments, their family grew to include three children. But those deployments took a different toll on Justin. Having sustained numerous close calls and one direct bomb hit to his vehicle, Justin now battles TBI, loss of hearing, chronic back and neck pain, and frequent migraines. JaNelle and Justin see the joy in their lives outpacing the pain and that keeps them on the path towards healing the visible and invisible wounds of war.
