Senator Elizabeth Dole met with Pastor Joel Osteen in 2013 to share the challenges faced by 5.5 million military and veteran caregivers, and the importance of faith and faith communities in the lives of so many of these hidden heroes. Pastor Osteen immediately pledged his support to raise awareness of those caring for wounded, ill and injured warriors, and how Americans across the nation can lend their help.
This year, Pastors Joel and Victoria Osteen will be spotlighting the mission of the Elizabeth Dole Foundation by sharing the stories of caregivers at their Night of Hope events nationwide. One of the videos they are showing tells the story of 2014 Dole Caregiver Fellow Jessica Allen.
