Heroes and History Makers: An Evening with Elizabeth and Bob Dole

Join us in Washington, DC on November 29th for Heroes and History Makers, an unforgettable evening to honor the hidden heroes of our nation – military and veteran caregivers. History is being written every day by these 5.5 million spouses, mothers, fathers, siblings, and friends who are now serving on the front lines to care for our nation’s wounded warriors. These caregivers are the glue that holds military families together, providing $14 billion a year in voluntary, uncompensated care. They desperately need and deserve our support.
In just six years, the Elizabeth Dole Foundation has taken the military caregiving crisis out of the shadows and achieved significant gains for these hidden heroes. Heroes and History Makers will raise critical funds to strengthen our efforts to make a difference in the lives of military caregivers and support the Foundation’s Hidden Heroes campaign. Senators Elizabeth and Bob Dole will be joined by special guests, including courageous military caregivers, Today anchor and Hidden Heroes Ambassador Savannah Guthrie, presidential historian Jon Meacham, and award-winning author and columnist for The Wall Street Journal, Peggy Noonan, as we recognize Hidden Heroes Campaign Chair Tom Hanks for his dedicated service to military families.
