The Elizabeth Dole Foundation is hosting our first-ever Hidden Heroes Cities and Counties Summit at 2pm EST on October 7th, 2020!
This two-hour virtual Summit will convene city and county leaders from across the nation to discuss effective strategies for supporting military caregivers in local communities from coast to coast.
To date, more than 155 cities, counties, and states have signed our Hidden Heroes pledge, passing resolutions to recognize, support, and engage military and veteran caregivers in their communities. This Summit aims to celebrate these regions for their commitment and outline a detailed action plan to drive long-lasting support for military caregivers at the local level.
Representatives from all existing Hidden Heroes Cities, Counties, and States are welcome to participate, as well as community nonprofit leaders from select organizations, and NACo members. If your city or county has not yet adopted our pledge but is interested in participating or if you have any questions, please contact Yazmin Alfonso, Manager of City and Community Initiatives, at Yazmin@elizabethdolefoundation.org.
