Operation Frontline Families and the Elizabeth Dole Foundation Join Forces in Support of Military and Veteran Caregivers
Washington, D.C. – Today, Operation Frontline Families (OFF) and the Elizabeth Dole Foundation (EDF) are proud to announce that OFF is moving under EDF. By joining forces, these two organizations aim to enhance their impact and reach, providing comprehensive support and advocacy for the families who sacrifice so much for our nation.
Operation Frontline Families has been a cornerstone in offering direct assistance, resources, and community support to military families, focusing on the challenges faced by those on the front lines. The Elizabeth Dole Foundation, renowned for its advocacy and support for military caregivers, has significantly influenced policy and created critical programs that address the unique needs of those caring for our wounded, ill, and injured veterans.
Key highlights of this partnership include integrating programmatic activities to offer a more comprehensive suite of support services, leveraging combined networks to reach more families and caregivers, and amplifying the voice of military and veteran caregivers across the nation.
Shawn Moore, Executive Director and Founder of Operation Frontline Families, will dedicate her professional time to continued employment with the Elizabeth Dole Foundation as Director of Support Programs. She will also serve as EDF’s Senior Advisor for Suicide Prevention. Natasha Swayze, Development and Program Director of OFF, will join EDF as Program Specialist of Support Programs. Both Shawn and Natasha's extensive experience and dedication to military families will be invaluable as OFF and EDF join forces.
"We are thrilled to join forces with the Elizabeth Dole Foundation," said Shawn Moore. "This partnership will allow us to expand our reach and deepen our impact, ensuring that military and veteran caregivers receive the support they deserve."
Steve Schwab, CEO of EDF, commented, "The integration of Operation Frontline Families into our foundation strengthens our ability to serve those who care for our nation’s veterans. Together, we will build a brighter future for military and veteran caregivers and their families."
