Jodi Sheedy serves as the Chief Communications Officer at the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, where she leads the organization’s national communications strategy.

Prior to joining the Elizabeth Dole Foundation in February 2026, Jodi spent more than 15 years in communications at the American Red Cross, most recently serving as senior director of its national Communications Strategy. In that role, she led integrated communications strategy across all mission delivery units—including Blood Services, Disaster Services, International Services, Training Services, and Services to the Armed Forces—as well as enterprise campaigns, reputation management and internal communications.

Jodi began her career in public relations at DCI Group, where she focused on grassroots advocacy, media outreach, and event management before joining the Red Cross.

With nearly 20 years of experience at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and service, Jodi is a leader dedicated to advancing mission-driven organizations. She has secured coverage across top-tier national outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, Good Morning America, Today Show, and CBS Evening News.

Jodi holds a B.A. in Political Science and English from the University of Delaware. Originally from upstate New York, she resides in West Springfield, Virginia, with her husband, Jeff, and their two children, Jack and Aurelia.
